Pownce has a few new social networking features! Now when you send a friend request, you can add a personal message. Something like, “Hey, it’s Leah from physics class! Thanks for sharing notes with me.” This will make it easier for your new friend to recognize you. From now on, friend requests will also be ordered by the time they were sent so that the newer requests are at the top of the page.

While we hope that you won’t need to use it, we’ve also added the ability to block another Pownce user from being your fan. Any users you block will not show up in your list of fans or friends and will not receive any of your notes on their homepage. They also cannot comment on any of your notes (including public notes) and cannot request to be your friend again.

Thanks to everyone who suggested these features! We really appreciate all your help and since we’ve changed a lot of the underlying code we’d love to hear if you come across any bugs related to the changes.
